Dizzy (yes, that is his real name) grew up in Puerto Rico and after high school, attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. While there, he entered ROTC and upoon graduation, entered the Air Force where he served for 25 years. Throughout his tenure in the military he met his wife, Carla, and together they have served in churches in many locations as small group leaders and couple counselors. Dizzy has also served as a Deacon/Elder and Sunday School teacher.

Upon retirement, Dizzy entered Dallas Theological Seminary and pursued a Master of Theology degree with a concentration on the New Testament. He joined Garden Community Church as Senior Pastor in July 2024.

Dizzy and Carla have three children and they love board games, sports and going on road trips.

Val was born and raised at Garden church. She is a graduate of Calvary Bible College with a degree in office management/Bible. While at Calvary she met her husband Chad. They have 2 children. She has served as the church secretary since September 2009.
